Our story
Rooted in Rhodes
Gemini Villas is family-owned: twin brothers, which is where the name comes from. We built Horizon, Harmony and Elysium in the village of Theologos, on the west coast of Rhodes – three separate houses rather than one property with three front doors. A local company handles check-ins, cleaning and maintenance day to day, so there is always someone on the island.
Built to a single design: white cubist volumes, clean lines, dark green frames and shutters, and stacked stone along one side of each pool. The architect's reference was Eleousa, the 1930s village in the island's interior, though most people read them as Cycladic and that is a fair reading. Nothing in them is showy: no black granite, no gold taps. That was deliberate.
These are houses rather than hotel rooms: two bedrooms, a full kitchen open to the living area, and your own pool outside, with a terrace around it and more upstairs.
We chose Theologos because it is still a working village, with tavernas and cafés used by the people who live here, and because it is only 7 km from the airport. You can land in the afternoon and be at a taverna table the same evening.

A working village
Theologos is a village people actually live in. There are tavernas and a number of hotels along the coast, but the road never backs up and there is always a table free, even in August.
Already dealt with
The practical things are dealt with before you arrive: a full kitchen, quiet air conditioning in every room, plentiful hot water from a 200-litre solar heater, and a portable barbecue to set up wherever you like.
